1869: Missouri – Jasper County: Jarrett and Dorcus Foster to Andrew J. Foster Land Sale

Know all men by these presents
That we, Jarret Foster and Dorcus Foster wife of the said Jarret Foster of the county of Jasper in the State of Missouri have this day for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and fifty dollars to us the said Jarret Foster and Dorcus Foster in hand paid by Andrew J. Foster of the County of Jasper in the State of Missouri granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain sell and convey unto the said Andrew J. Foster the following described tracts or parcels of land situate in the county of Jasper in the State of Missouri, that is to say, the South West quarter of the North West quarter of Section Thirty Six (36) of Township Thirty (30) of Range Thirty Two (32) containing forty acres more or less. To have and to hold the premises hereby conveyed, with all the rights, privileges, appurtenances thereto belonging, or in anywise appertaining to the said Andrew J. Foster, his heirs and assigns forever. We the said Jarret Foster and Dorcus Foster hereby covenanting to and with the said Andrew J. Foster his heirs and assigns for himself, his heirs, executors and administrators to warrant and defend the title of the premises hereby conveyed against the claim of every person whatsoever.

In testimony whereof we have hereto subscribed our names and affixed our seals this fifth day of May in the year of our lord on thousand eight hundred and sixty nine.

…deed as parties thereto this day appeared before me and acknowledged that they executed and delivered the same as this voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein contained and the said Dorcu Foster first being by me made acquainted with the contents of said seed, acknowledged an ___ examination separate and apart from her said husband that she executed the same and relinquished her dower in this real estate therein mentioned freely and without ________ or undue influence of her said husband.
